Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters.
How CW Systems Corporation handles your information.
Last updated: April 2026
CW Systems Corporation, doing business as Personal Technology (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), is committed to protecting the privacy and security of information collected through our platform, website, and services. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we collect, how we use and share it, and your choices regarding that information.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Contact Information: Name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and property address provided during project intake, budgeting, or proposal processes.
- Project Information: Details about your home technology project, including system preferences, square footage, feature selections, and design specifications.
- Financial Information: Payment and invoicing data processed through our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store credit card numbers directly.
- Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our platform, including pages visited, features used, and proposal views.
- Device Information: Browser type, operating system, IP address (hashed for privacy), and device identifiers used for security and analytics.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Prepare and deliver technology proposals and project estimates.
- Communicate with you about your project, including design updates, scheduling, and support.
- Process payments and manage invoicing through our payment provider.
- Improve our platform, services, and customer experience.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service Providers: Third-party services that help us operate our platform, including payment processing (Stripe), cloud hosting (Vercel, Supabase), email delivery, and accounting software (QuickBooks Online).
- Business Partners: Subcontractors and trade partners involved in your project, limited to information necessary for project execution.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our company, employees, or clients.
Google User Data (Gmail Integration)
Staff members may optionally connect their own Google account so the platform can send proposal and notification emails from their inbox. This integration uses Google OAuth with the minimum scope required: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send (send only), plus the basic openid, email, and profile scopes used solely to identify the connected account.
- What we access: Only the ability to send mail as the connecting user, and that user’s email address/profile for identification. We do not read, search, import, or access the contents of the user’s mailbox.
- How we use it: Solely to send emails (e.g., proposals, change orders, notifications) that the user explicitly initiates from within the platform, from that user’s own Gmail account.
- Storage: We do not store the content of sent messages beyond what the platform already records about a proposal/notification. OAuth refresh tokens are stored encrypted (Supabase Vault) and are used only to obtain short-lived send tokens.
- Sharing & AI: Google user data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to train AI/ML models. It is not shared with third parties except as required to operate the send feature or by law.
- Revocation: A user may disconnect at any time in Settings → Gmail, or via Google Account permissions, which immediately revokes our access.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), encrypted storage of sensitive credentials, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews. While no method of electronic storage is completely secure, we strive to protect your personal information using commercially reasonable safeguards.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Project data may be retained for the duration of any applicable warranty or service agreement period.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.

8. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
